TOWN OF SCITUATE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TITLE AND TAX SALE Services The Town of Scituate (Town) is seeking the assistance of a Title or other Company of similar background and experience (Proposer) to prepare and conduct annual tax sales (or as required by the Tax Collector) to commence immediately, if required, and to continue to on or about January 1, 2013, with the Town having the option to extend said term for an additional two (2) year period. The Town will accept proposals from persons or firms who have demonstrated title and tax sale experience. Sealed proposals will be received by the Town Treasurer, 195 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, Rhode Island 02857 up until March 2, 2012. The proposals will be opened publicly commencing at 11:00 a.m., 1/2 hour after deliver deadline on the same day in the Council Chambers, Scituate Town Hall. The opening of proposals shall be in the order they were received and shall continue uninterrupted until completion. All proposals must be submitted in triplicate and in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the exterior of the envelope “TITLE AND TAX SALE Services.” All questions pertaining to this proposal should be referred to Patricia Russo, Tax Collector. Proposers shall submit a certificate of Errors and Omissions and Malpractice Insurance (or similar coverage) with a Title Agent’s rider. Proposers shall submit a list of their qualifications and certification of their past performance(s), if any. The Town Treasurer, with the authorization of the Town Council, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town and its residents. Specifications may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays. Individuals requesting interpreter Services for the hearing impaired must call the Town Clerk at 401-647-2822 forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the meeting date. Theodore J.
